How long has DJ PaPaRooster Been Djing?

DJ PaPaRooster has been DJing since 2010. Which now makes this 9 years as of August 2019. 

What type of equipment do you use?

Traktor Z2 & Serato S9 mixer, and Technics 1200s.

What services do you offer?

We offer DJ services for weddings (ceremony, cocktail & reception) and events in addition to lighting (Uplighting, Dance Floor Lighting, Dancing on cloud effect, cold sparks, monogram, and cake light). We also have PhotoBooths available through our partner companies.

Will DJ PaPaRooster take requests?

I do take requests and may play some of them. With the question, please be mindful that they are “filter” requests, meaning the song will be appropriate for the event. If someone makes a request that fits in well with what the DJ is playing at the time and with the music the client wants, then the DJ may play the request.

Can we request songs for DJ PaPaRooster to play?

You are able to pick which songs you definitely want to hear, and ones you do not want to hear, for your event. 

What are the payment terms?

The deposit is required at the time of booking and the remaining balance is due one month prior to the wedding date. Balance due may be subject to change with PaPaRooster's approval. Payments can be made through our online planning system using a debit or credit card, check, venmo, square cash, or a PayPal account.

Do I tip the DJ?

I do not include gratuity in the final contract price. 10 – 20% is generally recommended if your DJ did a great job, but it is entirely up to you. 

Will the DJ Play overtime if needed?​

Yes, DJ will be able to play past the contracted time only if they do not have a later event booked that evening or night (which is extremely rare). Each DJ is equipped with a card “swiper” to accept payment for overtime. Overtime rates vary by city, but your DJ will discuss overtime rates with you prior to your event.

 Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully covered. We are more than happy to provide you or your venue with our appropriate insurance documentation

 Are you just the DJ or MC too, if so Do you make announcements?

Yes and yes! We believe that a significant, overlooked skill of a great DJ, is also being a great MC. We are all very comfortable on the mic and have several years experience as MCs as well. Our style is making well-timed announcements without being overbearing or cheesy. We want to get people involved and excited without stealing the spotlight from you and your guests.

When should we book DJ PaPaRooster?​

A good time frame is at least 6 months before the event. However, Smaller events do fall into play.  

​Should we feed the DJ?

This is now required in our contract. Typically, the catering director or event coordinator will set aside a meal or boxed dinner for the DJ and DJ's assisant if requested by the client.

DO you offer photo booths?

Will be soon, but as of now no, we do not offer photo booths. The focus of our business is offering you the best in DJ/MCs, sound and lighting. We feel that the a great photo booth deserves great attention to detail, so we like to leave it to the pros - an actual photo booth company. We do have affiliate photo booth companies that we love working with and are happy to send you their way!

DO YOU REQUIRE A CONTRACT AND DEPOSIt?

​Yes, a signed contract along with a deposit is required for booking us for any event. Our contract is designed to be very straightforward so you can understand the terms and feel a high level of trust prior to and during your event.
